Jim DeMint 2nd most conservative in Senate

According to National Journal, Republican Jim DeMint is the second most conservative member of the Senate.
Maybe South Carolinians have someone else to look to as a true conservative now that Sanford has embarrassed us, himself and his family!

An annual study by Education Week suggests that South Carolina is not ranked near the bottom of all states in education as is usually implied.

Sen. DeMint (R-SC) helps cause Southers to withdraw

Congrats to Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina for putting pressure on Erroll Southers and causing him to eventually withdraw his name from consideration of TSA head.
The Washington Post notes that DeMint was worried Southers would allow TSA employees collective bargaining rights.
